100 Days of Safeguarding – Day 76 – Safe After School

Today’s message is about keeping children safe in ‘after school’ activities such as sports or dance clubs, or any organised activity where parents/carers leave their children in the care of others. The WSCP has guidance encouraging parents and carers to ask the right questions of these activities to ensure, for example, that staff are appropriately qualified and trained, and that robust safeguarding arrangements are in place.
