Safe After School

Many children benefit from participation in a great range of clubs, sports and activities held out of school, in the evenings and weekends. Other children also access private tuition or lessons. All of these activities bring great benefits to children and young people but those providing activities must assure and demonstrate to parents that their children will be kept safe.

To help parent’s make an informed choice the government had published a guidance document and the WSCP has designed a series of  “asking the right questions”posters for parents/ carers to ask providers before allowing their child to participate in activities:

As part of a campaign to make parents and carers more aware of the potential dangers of enrolling their children in clubs and activities they perhaps know little about the safeguarding partnership has published a series of awareness raising posters which can be downloaded below:
