The aim of Pol-Ed is to keep children safe through a range of interventions. Working together, the aim is to stop children becoming victims, or perpetrators, of crime. The range of interventions are designed to be delivered to children in Phases.
The resources are in line with the current Policing Priorities, DfE Curriculum Frameworks, and Ofsted Lines of Enquiry.

As well as meeting statutory requirements of the RSHE (Relationship, Sex, Health Education), Pol-Ed covers subjects that may otherwise not be covered in other PSHE schemes but are vital children understand.

Pol-Ed provides eight Passports, which are based around key values and form a foundation for assessment of pupil’s development which can be used throughout their time in education.
Pol-Ed supports schools in delivering expertly planned lessons designed to develop a deep awareness of risks, citizenship, and the law. The Pol-Ed team have focussed the coverage of the materials to address priority areas of policing, such as sexual violence and harassment; child on child abuse; and the perception that young people have of the police.
