We Are Wirral Parent Guides

Please see a new collection of Parent Guides to Wirral Children’s Services, now available through the Family Toolbox website. These excellent easy-to-read guides help parents, carers and young people better understand how Children’s Services work and what to expect if they become involved with support or safeguarding processes.

The guides cover a range of topics including Child in Need, Child Protection, strategy meetings, child protection conferences, family group conferences and how families can access help and support. They have been designed to explain complex processes in clear, accessible language and to support families to feel informed, involved and empowered.

We encourage professionals to share these resources with families as part of their practice and to help promote understanding of local safeguarding arrangements and children’s social care processes.
