Impact of Media and the Internet Study
The WSCP is supporting a local research project which is being led by a doctoral student at the University of Liverpool.
The study is called “Access to sexualised media online and the effect this has on offline sexual attitudes and behaviours’
Young people aged between 13 and 16 years are invited to participate. The study will involve taking part in an interview to give your view on topics such as risk taking behaviour, social media usage and exposure to sexual content online.
Participation in the study is voluntary and anonymous and written consent from the young person and their parent/carer will be required.
The study findings will inform the development of a risk assessment tool that will identify online risk for adolescents.
