Safer Recruitment

This is a one day course aimed at professionals responsible for the recruitment of new staff into the Childrens’ workforce. It is a mandatory requirement that at least one member of any interviewing panel will have attended this training.

Aims and Objectives

• Understand what features need to be incorporated into the recruitment and selection process and be able to reflect on the importance of safeguarding children.
• Consider the implications of the Bichard Inquiry
• Be aware of the guidance on developing a safer school/organisation culture.
• Be aware of abuse and how abusers operate
