Free Session for KS2 Send Me A Selfie (Skills for Healthy Relationships)
Ariel Trust is offering your school FREE access to the Ariel Trust School Portal which provides a suite of resources aimed at equipping children with the skills necessary to resist the processes associated with grooming, radicalisation, and exploitation. These resources offer age-appropriate materials tailored for primary aged pupils.
Staff will also be provided with free online training sessions designed to support schools in delivering the resources.
Thanks to the funding from the Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership, access to the School Portal and the online training are available free to Merseyside primary schools.
KS2 Send Me A Selfie (Skills for Healthy Relationships)
We have recently launched a new Send me a Selfie website, containing additional content designed to help you develop children’s refusal and resistance skills more effectively. Send Me A Selfie tackles the issues arising from the sharing of images online. The animation and supporting lessons allow pupils to focus on the pressure they might feel to share images and the consequences if they do. Pupils will explore issues about consent and practice refusal skills, how to say no if they feel pressure to share something with which they are not comfortable.
We have employed a team of theatre practitioners who will provide you with step-by-step instructions, showing you how forum theatre can be employed in your classroom.
Online training date:
Wednesday 7th October 3.30-4.30
