Managing Allegations

The Managing Allegations course is aimed at professionals with responsibility for safeguarding within their organisation who would be the persons responsible for reporting allegations against professionals in to the Local Authority Designated Officer for Allegations (LADO).

The course is not appropriate for professionals who do not hold a named safeguarding responsibility in their organisation.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the day participants will be able to:

  • Consider how organisations can create a safer working environment for children and the adults working with them
  • The managing allegations process and agency responsibilities
  • Role of the LADO
  • Guidance on safer working practice
  • Disclosure and Barring Service
  • Local issues
